Wellpark Centre:

If you are looking for lower-cost accommodation near the University there is great backpacker-type accommodation in the Wellpark Centre which is a 10 minute walk from the University. You will be living within beautiful 19 acre grounds in a tranquil sanctuary of bush and streams, and in an environmentally sustainable manner. There is a pool available. There are communal kitchenette facilities; fridges, jug, toaster and a lovely lounge area for you to eat in peaceful surroundings, included in the room rate. If you would like to cook you will need to pay an extra kitchen charge. The accommodation has shared showers and toilets. Rooms are very basic; each room has two standard single beds. Linen is provided at $10 per night but you will need to bring a sleeping bag and a towel. The Wellpark Retreat Centre is completely self-catering; there are a mall and two supermarkets within walking distance to buy food supplies.
Prices are: $30 per night per person (sharing)
$50 per night (non-sharing - this option depends on availability)
Albany Oak Motel:

This is a standard motel with general facilities. There is a selection of restaurants nearby. It is a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk to the University. They can sleep up to 4 in a room; please ask motel staff for details.
Massey Rates are:
Studio $125 per night (with kitchen facilities)
$115 per night (without kitchen facilities)
A 2 Bedroom Unit (with kitchen facilities) sleeps a maximum of 3 people for $200 per night.

Albany Rosedale Motel:

This hotel is a little further away but is new and has big television screens. They have a free swimming pool, sauna and spa pool for guests.
This motel is about 10 minutes drive away from the University but not within convenient walking distance unfortunately. They can sleep up to 4 in a room; please ask motel staff for details.

Albany Village Apartments:

These apartments are completely self catering (home away from home). They are located in the older village part of Albany; a lovely park and restaurants are nearby. It is a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk to the University. They can sleep up to 3 in a unit; please ask motel staff for details.

Albany Executive Motor Inn:

This motel is a 2 minute walk from the University and a short stroll to the Westfield Mall, restaurants, supermarkets etc. They have a café on-site that serves a full breakfast for $15.

Standard Studio spa: $135 (with en-suite spa bath and kitchenette)
King Studio spa: $160 (with en-suite spa bath and kitchenette)

Monarch Gardens:

This is a lovely B&B type accommodation. It’s in a very private rural setting and is self-contained with a very quiet, relaxed feel. You will need a car to stay as it is a 15 minute car ride to the University (the owner is happy to drive you to the University if you don’t have a car so please ask). Maximum 4 people per stay.
